Kat is the founder and creative force behind Fur Seasons, with close to 15 years of experience in the pet care world. Her journey has taken her from pet retail to working as a vet tech, and into Fear Free dog boarding, where she spent five years refining her approach to compassionate, low-stress care.

Fur Seasons was built from her belief that dogs deserve more than supervision, they deserve to feel safe, understood, and genuinely loved.

Together, Kat and Wade are raising their daughter alongside a lively crew of animals at home, including (arguably) too many cats and a ferret, making their life just as full of personality as the dogs they care for each day.

Wade is the backbone of Fur Seasons, keeping things running behind the scenes and stepping in wherever he’s needed most. Whether he’s repairing dog-approved “renovations,” managing tech, or supporting Kat through it all, Wade is a constant, steady presence.

He has a background in both veterinary care and pet retail, bringing a well-rounded perspective to the business.

Wade and Kat’s story began at a pet retail store many moons ago, and the rest is history.

With over 12 years in the pet care industry, Cole brings a wealth of experience to Fur Seasons. His background spans animal shelters, veterinary clinics, and pet photography, along with hands-on experience caring for his own group of beloved pets.

Cole enjoys fishing in his free time and unwinding with his dog and cats.

As a Fear Free Certified professional in daycare, boarding, and pet sitting, with additional expertise in pet nutrition, Cole is dedicated to providing calm, compassionate, and informed care for every dog in our facility.

Autumn is the Facility Manager at Fur Seasons and a professional dog trainer with over eight years of experience in the animal industry. She is passionate about creating a structured, supportive environment where both dogs and team members can thrive.

Currently pursuing a degree in Business, Autumn is dedicated to continually growing her leadership and operational skills.

With a strong focus on enrichment and modern, Fear Free-based training, she works to build confidence in dogs while strengthening their relationships with their families.

Autumn brings a calm, intentional approach to everything she does, helping ensure every dog in our care feels safe, supported, and understood.

Originally from the East Coast, Katie is a former content writer with over five years of experience in animal welfare. She brings creativity, care, and a thoughtful approach to her role as Fur Seasons’ Enrichment Specialist.

Katie is passionate about creating engaging, individualized activities that support each dog’s mental and emotional well-being—helping pups build confidence, reduce stress, and truly enjoy their time with us.

When she’s not spending time with the dogs, Katie is usually cuddling her puppy, Soccer, or playing with her rescue bird, Beatrix.

Outside of Fur Seasons, she enjoys running, reading, attending live music, and climbing—always finding new ways to stay active and inspired.

Avery has been working with dogs since June 2025 and became part of the Fur Seasons family in October. Having raised several dogs and now caring for a spirited pup they adopted from Fur Seasons, Avery brings both experience and heart to everything they do.

As a Fear Free Certified team member, Avery is dedicated to making sure every dog feels safe, respected, and loved. Whether it’s a playful round of tug-of-war or quiet cuddle time, they’re all about building trust and connection with each pup.

Avery’s approach centers around choice, patience, and positive reinforcement, helping dogs feel comfortable at their own pace and supporting them every step of the way.

Jordan is a Kennel Technician at Fur Seasons who finds genuine joy in working with dogs, every new pup he meets brings a little extra brightness to his day. At home, Jordan has four dogs of his own, giving him plenty of hands-on experience and a deep understanding of canine care.

Outside of work, Jordan studies history and enjoys exploring the important role animals have played throughout the ancient world.

Jordan is passionate about Fur Seasons’ Fear Free philosophy and takes pride in using positive reinforcement to ensure every dog feels safe, comfortable, and cared for during their time with us.

Jeff is a former linguist and lifelong dog lover who is currently working toward a career in wildlife rehabilitation. He brings curiosity, warmth, and a sense of humor to every interaction, both with dogs and people.

Jeff loves making friends with every pup he meets, and you’ll often find him playfully “drumming” on their bellies like a bongo (much to their delight, for reasons he’s still trying to understand).

Outside of Fur Seasons, Jeff is passionate about paleontology, so if you ever ask him about dinosaurs, be prepared for an enthusiastic (and possibly 45-minute) answer!

Yoali has been around dogs most of her life and truly enjoys caring for them. She holds certifications in Dog Handler Academy (DHA), Fear Free, and Elanco Small Animal Science, bringing both knowledge and passion to her role at Fur Seasons.

She especially loves grooming and helping pups look and feel their absolute best.

At home, Yoali has two dogs of her own, which only deepens her connection to the work she does each day.

Yoali believes strongly in the Fear Free philosophy, using positive reinforcement to create a calm, low-stress environment where every dog can feel safe, comfortable, and confident.
